The U.S. Ski Team's Kikkan Randall (Anchorage) finished 14th in the women's 10k freestyle pursuit World Cup in Falun. Sunday's result earned Randall another career milestone placing 10th in the World Cup overall standings.

U.S. Ski Team standout Kikkan Randall (Anchorage) led the USA in 19th Friday in the World Cup Finals opening prologue event in Falun. Norway's Marit Bjoergen and Russia's Ilia Chernousov won the first stage of the final 2011 season tour.

Eli Brown has proposed a Michigan Cup race in October using Zamboni snow to make a short 15-20 second course in Traverse City. Eli wants to get a confirmation early so he could use that in promoting the event to sponsors, nationally, etc.

Valley Spur: Lake effect snow cycles are kicking in now. We've received 6" of snow. There is not enough snow to groom as of yet. Also deer season ends this weekend which opens things up for us. Rock skiing if you're careful is doable.
