From 18th February -1st March, the 2009 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships will take place in the Bohemian city Liberec (CZE). After years of intensive preparations, Liberec is ready for its grand premiere and looking forward to the event.
The Michigan High School Cross Country State Championships will be held this weekend (Feb 14 and 15) at the Michigan Tech Nordic Ski Trails. Skiers from both the upper and lower Peninsulas will be battling it out.
The Junior VASA returns to Traverse City on Saturday February 14, 2009 as a key part of the North American Vasa Festival of Races, attracting skiers ages 3-15 in cross-country skiing events ranging from 200 meters to 2 km in length.

The FIS U-23 and Junior Cross-Country World Championships were successfully held from 29th January to 6th February 2009 in Praz de Lys, (FRA).
At the altitude of around 1200-1300m, the athletes will compete in the Nordic Ski Center "Azzurri d'Italia" which will host its first ever Cross-Country World Cup event.

One reason I like coaching is the effort in the work I see the athletes put in. I think this is also a big reason people who like to watch and follow these sorts of sports like them.

This race was my introduction to the MI Cup racing series. Rather than race, I decided to take pictures and be race support for my teammates. It was fun to experience the other side of racing... Enjoy!
