Cold weather greeted cross-country skiers on Saturday for the Mount Itasca SuperTour classical technique races in Coleraine, Minn. It started at minus 4 and warmed up to probably around zero.

Snow continues to fall, and well over 100 inches has coated the Stampede track so far. Mother Nature has provided two good spells of warmer air and a little rain to make the base nearly bullet-proof. The 10 day forecast keeps us cold.
