Freeman wins 50k Title at SuperTour Finals

Olympian Kris Freeman (Andover, NH) clinched the final men's U.S. Championship title up for grabs Saturday winning the U.S. SuperTour Finals 50k classic technique race in Sun Valley. This marks Freeman's 14th U.S. Championship.

Kowalczyk and Cologna Cross-Country World Cup champions 2011

The FIS Cross-Country World Cup presented by Viessmann finished last weekend with the FIS World Cup Final event in Stockholm and Falun (both SWE). Poland's Justyna Kowalczyk and Swiss Dario Cologna secured victory in the overall World Cup rankings.

Randall 14th in Final World Cup

The U.S. Ski Team's Kikkan Randall (Anchorage) finished 14th in the women's 10k freestyle pursuit World Cup in Falun. Sunday's result earned Randall another career milestone placing 10th in the World Cup overall standings.

Eli Brown has proposed a Michigan Cup race in October using Zamboni snow to make a short 15-20 second course in Traverse City. Eli wants to get a confirmation early so he could use that in promoting the event to sponsors, nationally, etc.

U.S. skier Andy Newell (Shaftsbury, VT) led the American squad taking a strong fifth in the final World Cup sprint of the season Wednesday in Stockholm. Kikkan Randall (Anchorage) finished third in the World Cup sprint standings.
