Freeman 29th in final tune-up before 15k Classic

The mass start pursuit included a 15k classic technique race, an infield "pit" area to change skis, and a 15k skating technique finale. Freeman, whose 15k classic specialty event is Tuesday, used it as a preparation race.

The U.S. Ski Team women showed emerging depth Saturday placing three athletes inside the top 30 in the women’s 15k pursuit at the 2011 Nordic World Ski Championships at Holmenkollen in Oslo.

The Central Collegiate Ski Association announced its 2011 All-CCSA teams on Tuesday, with Northern Michigan the most represented team with seven honorees, followed closely by six all-conference nods for Alaska.
