USA Nordic Opener in Traverse City

Brick Wheels in Traverse City, Michigan will host the first cross country ski race of the 2011-2012 season in the entire USA on Saturday, October 22. The race will run on a  short loop just outside of the  Brick Wheels store, snow courtesy of the Zambonis from the local ice skating rinks.

This race counts for Michigan Cup points as well: one individual points (for participation) and one team point.

Beside the ski race, there will also be a ski swap, open skiing, a party, plus music and beer.

Schedule

• 9:00am-4:00pm: Ski swap
• 10:00am - noon: USA / Michigan Cup Season Opener race.
• Noon-2:00pm: Open skiing
• 4:00pm-7:00pm: VASA Ski Club Season Kick Off Party
