The National Cross Country Ski Education Foundation (NCCSEF) has been renamed the National Nordic Foundation (NNF) to better represent the foundations updated goals of raising funds to support key Pillar Projects in the Nordic skiing disciplines of Cross-Country and Nordic Combined.
The non-profit National Nordic Foundation (previously NCCSEF) was founded in 1997 and has contributed over $300,000 to cross-country skier development programs since its inception. It has proudly funded every U.S. World Junior Championship Team in the cross-country discipline since 1997 and every U.S. J1 Scando Cup cross-country team since 1999. Initially known for its annual fundraising calendar, the National Nordic Foundation is now gaining popularity and financial donors for its structured Pillar Project fundraising and funding programs.
Stay tuned next week as the National Nordic Foundation announces its Pillar Projects and the Pillar Projects social fundraising platform. Funding of the Pillar Projects ensures the nation’s top Nordic skiers, starting at the J2 age group and ending when they reach the World Cup Red Group, gain access to the highest caliber racing, training and coaching experiences.
