ABR gets 4 inches, plans to open Sunday

We received 4 inches of snow today and the groomers were out grooming. We will be back out in the AM and plan to open for rock skiing in the AM at 9 AM

The first official day of cross country skiing here in Michigan’s Leelanau County was Saturday, November 6th. The best snow was of course on the local golf course – located high up in the hills and away from Lake Michigan.

Shanty Creek to offer solar-powered lighting on Moonlite Trail

Shanty Creek will unveil a solar-powered lighted cross-country skiing trail on Moonlite Run this upcoming season. The trail allows skiers to tour the gentle hills and valleys of the Summit Golf Course, just across the street from the Summit Village Lodge.

Enhanced drivers license or passport needed for Canada

Heading to Canada to ski this winter? If you do not have a passport, you need to obtain a Michigan Enhanced Drivers License. This costs $45 and take two weeks to receive but plan on at least three weeks.
