Demong Honored as Flag Bearer

The U.S. Olympic Committee (USOC) announced Thursday that Olympic gold medalist Billy Demong has been selected as flag bearer for the 2010 U.S. Olympic Team for the Closing Ceremony by fellow members of Team USA.

Justyna Kowalczyk wins 30 km Classic Mass Start

Justyna Kowalczyk of Poland won the last ladies' competition in Whistler. In the finish she edged out Marit Bjoergen by a few centimeters. Aino Kaisa Saarinen of Finland claimed Bronze medal.

40-year-old Hanevold wins Biathlon gold

The 40-year-old Hanevold finally has a record of his own, however, after becoming the oldest biathlete to win an Olympic medal by skiing the first leg to help Norway take gold in Friday's men's relay.

US men's biathlon relay team finishes13th

The U.S. men’s relay team finished 13th today in the final biathlon competition at Whistler Olympic Park. After experiencing some ski problems, Lowell Bailey, Jay Hakkinen, Tim Burk and Jeremey Teela finished 6:20.2 minutes behind the winners.

Baic wins third bronze in 45K freestyle at World Master!

Conditions were really tough today. 4 inches of new snow made for softer track conditions. The temperature was about 28 F at my start and climbed to about 34 F by the end. No wind but snow squalls during the race made for extra challenging conditions.
