Alaska takes men's and women's skate race at Tour de Twin Cities

It was a Blue and Gold first day at the Tour de Twin Cities SuperTour stop, as the Alaska Nanooks’ Aly McPhetres earned her first collegiate win in the women’s 5K skate while teammate Tyler Kornfield took the top spot in the men’s 10K at Wirth Park in MN.

Northern Michigan University sophomore Nordic skier Kyle Bratrud was named to the United States Ski Team for the U23 World Championships, which will take place in Liberec, Czech Republic, Jan. 21-27.

Ohio Nordic and Hilltoppers XC an organized a 'pop up' xc event on man-made snow. The event was in an enduro format: a 1 hour race on a rolling loop course where skiers complete as many laps as they can in one hour.
