MARQUETTE, Mich. – Head coach Sten Fjeldheim of the Northern Michigan University nordic ski team has announced Vivian Hett as an early signee for the 2014-15 season.
"Vivian is a talented athlete who has proven herself on the National skiing circuit and in the classroom. I am excited about the potential for her to be an elite collegiate skier," said Wildcat head coach Sten Fjeldheim
Hett is a native of Burnsville, Minn., where she attends Burnsville High School. At the 2013 Minnesota State High School Meet last season (2013) Hett made five appearances and her highest finish was in the pursuit race finishing second. At the 2013 USSA Junior Nationals Hett had two finishes in the top 10 for her age group. In the 5k freestyle she finished seventh and in the mass start 10k classic she finished eighth.
Hett also competes for Burnsville High School in Cross Country and Track and Field.
"Vivian is a strong student and a competitive athlete. She will be a great addition to our team," added Fjeldheim.
