The Great Bear Chase ski race will be March 5th this year, and as always, will showcase both our area’s wonderful trails and people. The event requires the dedication and support of over 100 community volunteers.

Gregg raced second place finisher Aurelie Dabudyk of France down the streets of Hayward, Wisconsin, finishing in 2:22:44.5, winning by just 5.1 seconds.
Foremost among the favorites will be Caitlin Gregg (Minneapolis, MN), going for her fourth Birkebeiner women’s title. Gregg won in 2011 (where she broke the Women’s 50K Skate course record), 2013 and 2014.
