Former Michigan Cup racer and current member of the Bridger Ski Foundation Pro Team Reid Goble has had a great couple weeks. First, he won the Minneapolis SuperTour race. Then he won a gold medal serving as a guide in the Paralympics. Finally, he's been chosen to race in the Men's 10km interval start classic race (3/20) at the FIS World Cup Finals in Lake Placid NY. Way to go Reid!
Twenty youth cross country ski programs will get a boost this winter thanks to funding from the American Birkebeiner Ski Foundation (ABSF). The Foundation recently awarded $15,000 to programs around the country targeted to youth skiers.
Both the Cross Country Ski Shop and Cross Country Ski Headquarters offer cross country ski trade-in programs for kids.

I just heard back from our Traverse City Field Office. Our State Forest Pathways will not be cleared of downed trees, the parking lots will not be plowed, and the trails will not be groomed this winter, due to statewide budget cuts.
