This belt is more of a specialty belt. My Sony DSC-H50 camera (right) is a little on the large size and doesn't fit into a normal water bottle belt. I need something with a bigger pocket to hold it.

The horizontal water bottle holder is OK, but the huge cargo space makes this water bottle belt a winner for classic skiers or folks who want to carry more gear.

Kick Waxing Tip from Marty Hall

Here is something I've just started doing with Toko Base Green. I did this twice last year with huge success - both for kick and glide.

Angled and insulated holster, water bottle, pocket, gel flask and holder, and shock cord to hold loose ends. Is this it? Have I finally found the perfect water bottle belt?

Wax report from CXC Team

This year in Yellowstone, we brought a relatively small group (seven) of skiers and only one coach, so waxing had the potential to get hairy if conditions got completely sketchy.

The next sweet water bottle belt to ingratiate itself was a Solda belt. It looked like a nice holster for the water bottle, and duo pockets on either side. Maybe this will be the one.

The first pretty water bottle holder I tried was another Ultimate Directions, the "Access Gel". It seemed to have everything - a water bottle, gel flask and holder, wax pouch, and a nifty way to manage excess belt length.

My original water bottle belt was an Ultimate Directions. But there were water bottle holder sirens on the market promising easier bottle access, built in gel flasks, more ergonomic belts - and they seduced me away from my loyal holder.

At 7am, it was -17f. Yes, the remnants of the tropical storm were gone! Today was a delight. West Yellowstone was back to its wonderful normal self.

The forecast for last night was predictably off. They had called for the temperatures to sink dramatically and for a bunch of snow to fall. It has been my experience that when the weather is warm and a front is supposed to come and kick it out...

esterday while it was snowing the snow was acting predictably "cold" despite the warm temperatures. Then after it stopped snowing, it got very wet and the warmer waxes were far better.
