We did a 9.4 k time trail – temps were in the low 20’s, we all had good kick and glide. ,
There will be a race on Saturday. Details will be forthcoming. We will be shoveling snow onto the trail where needed and will be grooming the trail over then next few days to get it ready. ,
We are still planning on having our race series tonight. We received a dusting of snow and the track should be ok for classic. ,

Dieter Hohnke reported that he completed the 55K (34 Mi.) "Koenig-Ludwig-Lauf" World Loppet yesterday, Feb. 6, in Oberammergau, Germany, in 5 hrs 21 minutes. That was good for 1,062 place out of 1,152 "classic" men participants.,
We had 3 changes in the 20K and 1 change in the 50K: 3 sex changes (!), 1 missing bib.,
As of now we are still planning on holding the race, but a lot will depend on the weather the next few days and the condition of the trail after we are able to inspect it., ,
It was fast times for the finishers of this year's White Pine Stampede. In the 50km, Andy Triebold and Wendy Anderson were the overall champions with times of 1:45:12 and 2:09:14 what what turned out to be a 44km race.,
The 2005 White Pine Stampede would prove to be a balmy race, as the temperature at the start was pushing 30 degrees, and it was nearly 50 degrees at the race finish. ,
