LSSD XC Ski Championships off to great start

Over 100 athletes from various clubs throughout Lake Superior Ski District (LSSD) braved a cold and windy day to compete in the 2011 edition of the LSSD Cross Country Championships at The Kamview Nordic Ski Centre.

Traverse City's Ross Williams was the over champion of the Michigan High School Cross Country Ski Championship Pursuit on Friday, Feb 18 on the Vasa Trail. Yoopers took all three spots in the Girls Pursuit, starting with Ellen Wittals from Marquette HS.

Protest forces cancellation of Madison Winter Festival
