Forty-five kids arrived at Huron Meadows at 8:00am, got their skis, and headed out to the start line to race in the first ever Frosty Freestyle Kids Race. Frosty the Snowman was their to cheer them on!

Saturday's JNQ Race and Nordic Flurry is tentatively a go. However, all who participate must pre-register by NOON tomorrow. Registration for Sunday's JNQ races will be handled on Saturday and/or day of if the races on Sunday morning if they are a go.

The Vasa Ski Club hosted sprint races at Hickory Hills on Tuesday evening. 36 skiers competed in the event consisted of a series of four, 1km sprints, with the final time being the average of the four.

We are off to a slow start in Ohio just like everywhere else but hope to have races this coming weekend. We are currently hanging on to a thin but skiable base at Chapin Forest with full coverage on 3k.
Team NordicSkiRacer's Lindsey MacDonald wins the 5k Frosty Freestyle cross country ski race, leading the entire race. Brothers Nikolaas and Vincent Vermeulen finish 1-2 in the men's 5k.
Local Nordic skiers competed in Junior National Qualifying races at the Boyne Valley Lodge and at Nub’s Nob this weekend.
