There were big changes in the Brumbaugh Cup competition following the Mike Seaman Memorial Classic Race at Forbush Corner. Hanson Hills / Cross Country Ski Shop took over the lead with 297 points.
So as we drove north through Grayling on our way to the Michael Seaman Memorial Classic Race at Forbush Corner, -4F seemed cold. By the time we arrived, the temperature had risen to a balmy 0F.

The Michael Seaman Memorial Scholarship Classic Race will be ONLINE REGISTRATION ONLY. And skiers doing the virtual Noquemanon or White Pine Stampede can get a trail discount.
The course seemed fast for the first 6km then suddenly the snow felt damper and slower - everyone was commenting on how their skis slowed down during the race.

UPDATED! Michael Davis put in an incredible performance to win the 12k Krazy Klassic 32:20.9. He double poled the entire course, a tactic done by many or most of the top skiers in the race. But there's the more important story...
Great weather, great course conditions, and social distancing made for an eventful Frosty Freestyle!
The course conditions are awesome! We will be skiing using a new start area between the parking lot and the course fence. We will also ski CLOCKWISE around the course for the first time ever.
Huron Meadows Metropark in Brighton, Michigan is already preparing the race course for the Frosty Freestyle and Krazy Klassic races on Saturday and Sunday, January 9 and 10.
