Former Michigan Cup racer and current member of the Bridger Ski Foundation Pro Team Reid Goble has had a great couple weeks. First, he won the Minneapolis SuperTour race. Then he won a gold medal serving as a guide in the Paralympics. Finally, he's been chosen to race in the Men's 10km interval start classic race (3/20) at the FIS World Cup Finals in Lake Placid NY. Way to go Reid!
Today’s session was double-pole intervals - 5X3min with 4 min recovery, targeting 10mMol/L by the end of the workout. Kris’s plan was to sit-in on the sprinters for at least the first couple of intervals, and then see how it was going.,

Nubs Nob: Absolutely great today . Nubs groomers are showing off their deep hard pack base with near daily grooming and fresh snow contributions. The Spring Sweat Spot seems consistent between 10 AM to 1:30 pm . Not to be missed !
Nubs Nob: Perfect late March conditions this AM on all the upper and lower loops. With the base being measured in feet, and persistent grooming, this Friday-Sunday AM should be some of the best conditions of the entire winter at Nubs!
Cross Country Ski Headquarters: Well, despite our best efforts, we are going to shut down the trail system for the season. Too many barespots and debris. We are closing the Cafe for the season as well. We will likely have a 'trail cleanup BBQ' sometime in early may, and rest assured, the trails will be glorious by next season.
We are incredibly grateful for the epic winter we had and all the wonderful skiing we got to do! Certainly a winter for the books. Thank you for skiing with us this year and bringing such good cheer to the skiing community. May the 'off-season' treat you well, and we look forward to skiing with you next year!
Hiawatha Highlands: Happy Middle of the Week Everyone!! It's currently a calm morning, with more snow in the forecast today. The temperature is currently -4 C.
The groomer was out last evening -- all systems were Piston Bully groomed for both classic and skate. With the cooler temps overnight, they may be a little icy to start the day.
Mabel Lake trail was groomed yesterday as of 1:30 p.m.
Have a great day, everyone!!
Hickory Hills: Excellent skiing at Hickory this morning. The Hills were completely groomed with the Pisten Bully. Good corduroy in the skate lane and deep classic tracks. The Meadows were groomed with the Tidd Tech behind a Gator. Upper Meadows had a nice skate lane, and deep classic tracks from yesterday's PB groom. East Meadows were groomed, but the Tidd Tech couldn't cut through the ski ruts and posthole footprints. Skiable, but not enjoyable. Stick to the Upper Meadows and Hills.
Hiawatha Highlands: Good Morning Skiers! It's currently a very snowy morning up here, with a temperature of -7 C.
There was no grooming overnight, they're going to let the snow fall before taking to the trails. We will post if any updates.
Have a fantastic day!! :)
