White Pine Stampede: Over 100 inches of snow and counting

Snow continues to fall, and well over 100 inches has coated the Stampede track so far. Mother Nature has provided two good spells of warmer air and a little rain to make the base nearly bullet-proof. The 10 day forecast keeps us cold.

Michael Sinnott and Laura McCabe, both from the Saab Salomon Factory Team won the 51K classic Noquemanon Ski Marathon. Steve Kuhl and Natalie Dawson were top Michigan Cup skiers, both of Team NordicSkiRacer.

Lukas Bauer of the Czech Republic won his first World Cup of the season Saturday in a 15K classic race in Otepaae, Estonia. The 2006 Olympic silver medalist is fourth in the season's distance standings.
