The paved trail connecting Island Lake Recreation Area to Kensington Metropark will close intermittently from Aug. 1 through November. The closure is the result of I-96 bridge repairs over the Huron River in Oakland County.

The Pere Marquette Rail-Trail will partially close starting Monday, May 16, for a re-surfacing project two weeks earlier than previously announced, which will allow the trail to reopen in early July, rather than the beginning of August.
