The last cross country ski event on the FIS calendar was the traditional Fossavatn Cross-Country ski marathon that was held in Isafjördur in Iceland on 4th May. The race had to be held on a 10 km lap due to too much new snowfall!

The U.S. Ski Team has named two-time Olympian Dave Jarrett as the new nordic combined head coach, according to Nordic Program Director John Farra. Jarrett was promoted from his post as assistant coach to the head position this month.
