Wisconsin-Green Bay’s Santiago Ocariz was the lone All-American finisher among the 15 CCSA racers, taking 10th place in the men’s race in 49 minutes, 44 seconds, 25 seconds behind the winner—UVM’s Franz Bernstein.

After long ago having locked up the World Cup overall title, Jason Lamy Chappuis of France closed up the season with a win as he took home the King's Cup at Holmenkollen in Norway on Sunday. Billy Demong led the way for the U.S. finishing 10th.

U.S. biathlete Andy Soule (Pearland, Texas) made history Saturday, winning the first U.S. medal of the 2010 Paralympic Games and the first-ever medal for the U.S. Paralympic Biathlon team on the opening day of competition.

After her amazing victory yesterday on the 30 km, Marit Bjoergen won also the sprint race in the free technique at Holmenkollen. The Norwegian queen from the 2010 Olympics finished ahead of Kikkan Randall from USA and Natalia Korosteleva (RUS).

The last round in the stadium was really exciting with a great battle between Piller Cottrer and Northug. But in the finish, Northug was clearly stronger.

The Norwegian dream team worked together during the race and were able to split the group at about 15km. Behind was a big fight for the other places but nobody was able to catch up the leading group.

Yesterday's test event for the Mixed-Relay World Championships in Russia took place at the World Cup in Kontiolahti, Finland. For the U.S. athletes it was the first race of the final three World Cups of the season.

After last nights rain and low temps in the 40's overnite, we have been forced to cancel the races. We still have a good base, however, it is much too soft to put grooming equipment on the trails.

The queen of the 2010 Winter Olympic Marit Bjoergen is in a great shape and took her fourth World Cup victory in this season. Aino Kaisa Saarinen was back on the podium after having last week a cold and couldn't start in Lahti.
