Ida Sargent and Rosie Brennan skied to a sixth place in today’s World Cup freestyle team sprint after Kikkan Randall left the World Cup to recover from fatigue.
Sadie Bjornsen, Simi Hamilton, and Andy Newell failed to progress beyond their quarterfinal heat with Bjornsen leading the USA in 15th. Hamilton was 16th and Newell 17th.
Straits Striders Andy Liebner held off Alex Vanias to win the 26.4k men's freestyle , 1:10:42 to 1:10:44, while Kaitlyn Patterson took her second freestyle win of the season, finishing the 13.3k women's freestyle in 43:20.
