13 Projects Receive American Birkebeiner Young Skier Grants

Thirteen youth cross country ski programs will get a boost this winter thanks to funding from the American Birkebeiner Ski Foundation. The Foundation recently awarded $12,000 to programs around the country targeted to youth skiers.

At the end of August, the first indoor skiing facility opened in Helsinki, the capital of Finland. With 7,000 cubic meters of snow covering 18,500 square meters the facility called Ylläs-Halli offers conditions for a wide range of different winter sports.
