NMU’s Dewitt wins exciting Camp Ripley freestyle

With nine other skiers contending for the win, Laura Dewitt of Northern Michigan University claimed a 15-kilometer mass start Central Collegiate Ski Association freestyle race Sunday at Camp Ripley.

Paull and Hardin take Gran Travers Classic

Denny Paull of Cheboygan held off Cliff Onthank to win the men's 16K event. It was Paull's 2nd consecutive win in the Gran Travers Classic. Tracy Hardin of Cheboygan easily won the women's 16K event.

TC Central win overall and girls HS Nordic ski title

Traverse City Central High School took the Girls State Title and combined with the Boys third place finish to win the Overall State Title in the Michigan High School State Finals in Nordic Skiing, defeating 5-time defending champs, Copper Country.
