Getting there:

Just south of Gaylord, MI off Old US 27. From I-75, take Exit 279. Go South on Old 27 for 2 miles. Turn left at blinker light on to Charles Brink Rd, which turns into Opal Lake Rd. Continue 3 miles to the Michaywe entrance.

What's there:

18.5 kilometers of cross country trails that wind around Lake Michaywe and head up and down the ridges, with a lighted loop for night skiing. The terrain ranges from picturesque flat to steep and technical. There is no ski center - park near the restaurant and golf pro-shop. The skiing is free at Michaywe.


For lunch or dinner, enjoy the view of Lake Michaywe from the dining room of Inn the Woods Restaurant. The restaurant and the Wildlife Saloon are open to the public serving lunch and dinner every day. The restaurant offers a diverse menu for all occasions and will do whatever it takes to meet your every need.
