Hello Friends of TART,
TART is excited to invite you to the inaugural Ross Cogger Memorial TART Trail Trek on October 7.
Ross Cogger was a recreation and outdoor enthusiast, and also a fan of the TART Trails. During his final stay in the hospital, he talked of riding the new Boardman Lake Trail; however, he died of cancer on November 4, 2005, just after the trail opened. Because he wasn't able to ride the trail in his lifetime, TART is hosting an event in his memory. The Ross Cogger Memorial TART Trail Trek is from 2:00-4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 7 starting at Medalie Park (near Logan's Landing.) The TART-sponsored event is a fundraiser for the expansion of the Boardman Lake Trail and participation in the event is by donation.
We ask that people come and experience the Boardman Lake Trail however they choose: ride, walk, run, or just stroll along. Participants are invited to use the Boardman Lake Trail to the Traverse Area District Library for doughnuts and cider.
