Tuesday Night Sprints Results for Feb 10

Tuesday's classic XC ski sprints were the final races before this weekend's upcoming Michigan High School State Championships in Houghton, and the Vasa races Traverse City. Thirty-one juniors from Traverse City and St Francis teams were honing their skills at Timber Ridge, along with 10 adults.
Williamsburg's Milan Baic, winner of last weekend's White Pine, won the 4km men's classic race in 11:40, with Steve Kuhl and Bill Brundage following in second and third, 12:08 and 12:32. Williamsburg's Jesi Schwab led the female race in 15:20, with Grawn's Sara Cockrell and Elk Rapid's Juli Weir following in 17:27 and 17:48.
In the juniors race, Glen Lake's Cassidy Edwards, just back from World races in Estonia, took the lead in the girl's race with a 13:15 finish. Central's Julia Coulter and TC Christian's Laura Meeker placed second and third in 14:06 and 14:22. Rapid City's Morgan Weir distanced himself in the boy's competition, with a 14:11 finish. Central's Parker Tiffany and East Jr High's Kyle Endicott took close second and third places in 15:02 and 15:04.
