
Pineland Farms, New Gloucester, ME, August 22. The IBU (International Biathlon Union) today announced that both live and on-demand broadcasts of all nine competitions at the upcoming Summer Biathlon World Championships would be available on its website, www.Biathlonworld.com.
The Championships, in Ufa, Russia September 6-10, will feature both Running and Rollerski biathlon for the first time this year. IBU Secretary General Michael Geistlinger commented on this unique broadcast event for biathlon, “This is a unique opportunity for biathlon fans around the world to access images of Biathlon via the Internet. This is the first of a number of initiatives the EBU (European Broadcast Union) plans to implement to increase global coverage of Biathlon events.”

Olympian, has won numerous Summer Biathlon National Championships
dating back to 1987. Nordyke, a 1998 Olympian, also has won several US
Summer titles. Hoover won the 2006 World Championships Trials series.
