Dear Coaches,
CXC Skiing is pleased to announce the 2006 Central Cross Country Skiing Coach’s Symposium. An annual educational weekend for Central Coaches at all levels; youth, middle and high school, junior, collegiate, club and also for adult/master skiers.
The purpose of this symposium is to present both basic and applied information on cross country skiing with the main emphasis of improved training, technique and performance for junior and adult competitors.
Last year’s CXC Coach’s Symposium brought over 50 coaches from around Midwest. A few comments from coach’s critiques and suggestions include:
This year we will again share the exceptional expertise and excellent knowledge of the presenting coaches, wax technicians, athletes and other professional specialists to help you develop, educate and produce successful programs along with the strongest athletes. Topics of the symposium will include strength training, development process of a cross country ski racer, waxing, and hands on technique training. All speakers will direct their topics for the J3/4, J2, J1 and OJ/Collegiate/Senior/Master age group athletes.
WHEN: Beginning at 6:00 PM Friday May 19th and concluding Sunday afternoon May 21st. Please register prior to May 15th, 2006 to insure space and materials.
COST: includes materials for all participants and lodging for the first 30 registrants.
* CXC Skiing Membership will be available at the Symposium or you may join
along with your symposium membership and take advantage of the reduced symposium
rates for members.

Lodging is available for $20 per person per night for Friday and Saturday. Space
available on a first come first served basis. Cottages are fully furnished with

Central Cross Country Skiing is the designated body for the development of
cross country skiers in the 10 state Central Region of the United States. CXC
Skiing oversees youth programs; supports the Junior Olympic Qualifying system,
Central Collegiate Ski Association, and Senior/Master skiing; provides
athletes’, coaches’ and officials’ education; coordinates competitions; and is
the Midwest pipeline to the US Ski Team. CXC is a 501c3 non profit corporation
and gratefully accepts tax deductible donations for program enhancement from all
sources.
