Hickory Hills Sprint Results for January 20

The Tuesday Night XC Ski Sprints took place this week at Hickory Hills with 39 racing the 3.5 km freestyle course, 15 junior boys from 5 teams, 11 junior girls from 3 teams, and 13 adults. The adult winner was Steve Kuhl in 9:49, with Bill Brundage in second in 10:48, Joe Esper, third in 11:03, Todd Vigland, fourth in 11:28, and Derek Prechtl, fifth in 11:40.
Chris Scott, TC West, took first place for junior boys in 11:01, Ian Smith, Boyne, second in 11:36, John Hall, West, third in 11:43, Morgan Weir, Rapid City, fourth in 11:50, Matt Jacobs, West, fifth in 13:48, Bryan Esler, St Francis, sixth in 13:59, and Jesse Smith, East Jr High, seventh in 14:17. In the girls' race, Michaela Harris, West, took first place in 14:03, Sara Cockrell, Grawn, second in 14:41, Lissa Ault, Central, third in 15:24, and Sara Nestor, West, fourth in 15:33.
