Birke partners with Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation

The American Birkebeiner is proud to announce a new charitable partnership with thethrough its Birkie Skiers for Cures program. JDRF is the leading global organization focused on type 1 diabetes research. The goal of JDRF research is to improve the lives of all people affected by type 1 diabetes by accelerating progress on the most promising opportunities for curing, better treating, and preventing type 1 diabetes. Since its founding in 1970, JDRF has awarded more than $1.6 billion to diabetes research.

The Birkie looks forward to its three-year partnership with JDRF and having the opportunity to raise funds for such a worthy cause during this time. (Birkie 2012 was the close of the three-year Birkie Skiers for Cures highly successful partnership with MS Society.)
