"Skiing through the park at night with lanterns to light the trail is a special experience," said Park Interpreter Craig Kasmer. "I encourage local and visiting cross country skiers to come out for this great outdoor event."
There is no reservation required to participate. Participants will need a 2006 motor vehicle pass to enter the park. Passes are available at the entrance to Hartwick Pines State Park for $24 for an annual pass or $6 for a daily pass. An annual pass is valid for entrance to any state park for the 2006 calendar year. The classroom in the Michigan Forest Visitor Center will be open as a warming room with hot beverages and snacks available.
