Traverse City Skiers do great at Hiawatha!

The Traverse City high school XC ski teams traveled to Sault Ste Marie, Ontario for the 48th Annual Hiawatha Invitational XC ski races last weekend, with 12 junior girls and 6 junior boys competing in the classic races on Saturday. Twins Julia and Anna Coulter took first and second places in the 5km junior girls race in 19:13 and 20:19 respectively, with Laura Meeker in third in 20:43. Cam Ross lead the junior boys 10km race in 33:02, with Chris Scott in fourth in 35:53, and John Hall sixth in 37:03. Milan Baic, Williamsburg, set the pace for the men's 10km classic race, finishing in 32:27, with Steve Kuhl, Grawn, coming in third in 34:13.
