The snow conditions at Black Mountain have held up fairly well. We have good coverage over almost all of the trail system. We currently do not have classic tracks set but we anticipate setting tracks as the March 3rd race date approaches. The rest of this week looks pretty decent with small amounts of snow forecasted nearly every day and just as importantly, very little snow eating sun for the next few days.
The possibility of significant snowfall on Sunday and Monday Feb 26th and 27th has been forecasted. Next week is forecasted to be colder with additional snow. We are still planning on a 31 km classic race with the possibility of converting the race to a freestyle event if adequate track setting is not possible.
