RUMFORD, ME (Jan. 8) - Team CXC's Jessie Diggins (Afton, MN) completed a perfect sweep Sunday, winning her fourth gold at the U.S. Cross Country Chamionships in Rumford. Diggins, who was second in the classic sprint to Canadian Daria Gaiazova, won a fifth career U.S. title. Tyler Kornfield (Anchorage) took gold in the men's sprint when Torin Koos (Wenatchee, WA) was disqualified for illegal contact.

HIGHLIGHTS
- Tyler Kornfield repeated the title in the event he won two years ago in Anchorage after the disqualification of Torin Koos (Wenatchee, WA).
- Sun Valley Gold's Mike Sinnott (Sun Valley, ID) took silver. The overall SuperTour leader coming into the Championships, Sinnott is headed for World Cup action this week in Italy and Estonia.
- Dartmouth's Eric Packer (Anchorage) took his second bronze of the week.
- Jessie Diggins took a fifth career title, coming from behind to take her fourth gold of the week.
- APU Nordic's Kate Fitzgerald (Palmer, AK), traditionally known as a distance racer, had her best-ever sprint finish to take silver.
- Green Racing Project's Ida Sargent (Orleans, VT), had the lead into the final descent before being passed. The bronze was her second medal of the week.
