Brown takes Cook in FLASH 2

Eli Brown claimed glory for Club VASA with a 39:51 winning time over the 8 mile course, followed by Jeff Cook in second with a time of 40:28. If my math is on, these guys were skating five minute miles or faster. The big news though belongs to "The Kid from Walloon Lake," Brendan Baic who skated to third place in 41:45, outdistancing some pretty significant Michigan Cup racers.

Congratulations to our visitor from Norway, "Jessie's friend," first woman across the line and 9th place overall.

Thanks again to the Lakes of the North folks for letting us use the golf course and for setting up our own room complte with restrooms.  These folks have made it known that they would love to have us out there for an event this winter ofr on next years's race schedule. Let's see where the snow goes.

Thanks to all the Michigan cup skiers who showed up for a great workout at Flash Race 2 on Christmas Eve at Lakes of the North.
