Welcome to the inaugural Grand Marais Roller Ski Marathon! The course for this race is approximately 50k (30 miles) of open road through Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore along beautiful Lake Superior, one of the most scenic rides in the Great Lakes region. The race will start and end at Sunset Boardwalk in downtown Grand Marais, Michigan. Because this is an open road race, certified helmets are required for all participants.

There will be four race divisions:

• Male over 30
• Male under 30
• Female over 30
• Female under 30

Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers in each division, plus an overall winner.

The race will be limited to 100 participants on a first-come, first-serve basis. Early registrations will be accepted until September 25, 2011. Registration fees can be paid via check or PayPal.

Race fee:

• $30.00 for early registration (must be received by September 25, 2011)
• $35.00 for registration on race day
