White Pine Stampede is a 'GO'!

The decision has just been made: We WILL run the 2006 Stampede. Conditions will be marginal but we will be offering  10km, 20km, and 35km distance events (3).

The start location, Mancelona High School, and the start times are all as originally published. We strongly recommend that skiers choose their ‘rock’ skis as conditions will be very marginal in spots. Skiers may have to walk their skis across a few bare spots, though the wooded sections are reportedly maintaining pretty good conditions at this time. In any case, the White Pine Stampede is a “GO”. Think snow! We should get several more inches tomorrow.
