Hi everyone,
With its new features in version 1.1, RaceSplitter has become a tool not only useful for coaches, but also as a complete timing and results publication solution for race organizers.RaceSplitter runs on an iPhone or iTouch running iOS 4 or higher.
During conversations with several interested organizations over the past week, we realized that for certain events, one key feature was missing — and that is support for multiple categories within a race.
Since native category support won't be available until later this year, we've just added a small feature to RaceBuilder — providing a temporary solution.
For races which involve categories, use the "team" field to specify the category of each racer. Then, when you view published results in RaceBuilder, you can now filter by category (i.e. team) to see race results within that particular group. See the following results as an example (full size at http://racesplitter.com/results/4760DAFB7):
That means, starting today, you can use RaceSplitter to time entire races, even those involving multiple categories.
Best regards,
Matt, Alex, Justin & Brian
