OTEPAA, Estonia (Jan. 31) – Alaska Pacific University's Sadie Bjornsen (Methow, WA ) and U.S. Ski Team member Noah Hoffman (Aspen, CO) led the U.S. in the pursuit at the FIS U23 World Nordic Ski Championships Monday.
In the women's race the top spot went to Ingvild Flugstad Oestberg of Norway with her teammate Britt Ingun Nydal coming in second. The bronze medal was taken by Kerttu Niskanen of Finland. The top U.S. woman was Bjornsen who finished strong in 17th.
On the men's side the top honor went to Alex Harvey of Canada followed by Russians Evgeniy Belov and Raul Shakirzianov in third. Hoffman, a Westminster College student, had the top finish for the U.S. men in 22nd.
This event concludes the FIS U23 World Nordic Ski Championships.
