Free XC ski lessons in Midland

Free classic and freestyle cross-country ski lessons will be offered at the Midland City Forest, Pine Haven, or local golf courses depending on snow. Classes will be held on

• Saturday, Jan. 1
• Saturday, Jan 8
• Sunday, Jan 23
• Sunday, Feb 13
• Thursday, Feb 17
• Saturday, March 5

The schedule will be:

1:00 Beginning Classic
2:00 Intermediate Classic
3:00 Freestyle

The instructor for the classes will be John Johnson, a member of the Professional Ski Instructors of America and races on the Michigan Cup circuit.
