The best French Cross-Country skier, World Champion from Oberstdorf 2005 Vincent Vittoz, was injured in Sunday’s relay in Gällivare.
Vincent had to keep the leg 48 hours at rest and then underwent the MRI check up in France. It revelaed the presence of a torn left thigh muscle, caused by extreme tension. That corresponds to explanation of the incident Vincent gave to fiscrosscountry.com, "When climbing the uphill I lost grip in my left ski and my leg unexpectedly slipped back. I felt pain in the backside of my left thigh." There was formed a hematoma in the area of the injury. New imaging control is scheduled at the first week of December.
