Tuesday Night XC Ski Sprints: It's Cold Outside!

The first Tuesday Night XC Ski Sprints took place at Timber Ridge on January 6 in very cold, windy, snowy conditions, for skiers and spectators alike. 23 students from Traverse City schools participated, 8 from St Francis, and 16 adults, which was a strong turnout for the night. Chris Scott took first place in 12:48 for boys under 18 yrs old in the 4km freestyle race, with John Hall in second in 14:03, both from West, while Central's Coulter wins, Julia and Anna, took first and second places in 13:06 and 13:31 respectively. Steve Kuhl beat Milan Baic by 23 seconds in the adult race, 11:25 to 11:48, while Jesi Schwab outpaced Carrie Baic, 15:54 to 16:38.
