MAZAMA — Torin Koos eventually came to the conclusion that something was broken — namely his training regimen. And in order to fix it, he’s turned to the Methow Olympic Development Project.
“It was something that was building for a while,” the three-time Winter Olympian said of what led to the switch from the U.S. Ski Team training program. “It’s a change I feel good about.”
Koos’ new coach, Scott Johnston, said it’s not unheard-of for world-class skiers to work with coaches apart from the U.S. team.
