Double pole rollerski intervals in Bend

Chandra Crawford, Andy Newell and a cast of other national skiers doing doublepole intervals in Bend:

1. Notice the poles don't go flying up behind the skiers. The plant is back and down. Why waste effort by having the hands go flying back and up?
2. Poles are parallel to the body.
3. There is forward flexion of the ankles at the start of the poling.
4. Poles are high and foward at the beginning of the pole plant.
