This clinic will be designed for women of all ages and abilities, and will focus on making gains in the summer months for cross country skiing. Women-specific camps have been more and more popular in recent years, and CXC has recognized the strong member...ship of female participants within its base. We’re happy to offer this camp that will create an environment where quality coaching can happen!
3-time Olympic Gold Medalist Nina Gavrilyuk will lead the coaching staff for this event, and promises to be an inspiration to all who participate.At the end of a great day of technique training, participants can enjoy the pool, spa and sauna located in the lodge. Lakewoods Resort also offers outdoor and indoor pools, a hot tub, sand beach, tennis and volleyball courts. Participants will also enjoy outstanding food through the meal plan at the Lakeside Restaurant.

Basic Outline of Skill Levels:
Program 1: Beginner
Interested in getting on skis for the first time, or just starting to get the hang of it? This camp program emphasizes sound fundamentals, from proper body position to essentials of movement in all techniques.
Program 2: Intermediate
If you've already got the skills, here's how to take them to the next level. For master skiers who want to improve their Birkie results, this challenging camp program features advanced drills, physical training and frequent video analysis.
Program 3: Advanced
This option is for master skiers who have made a commitment to ski in the Elite and first wave at the Birkie. Challenging and intense, this camp will provide you with a unique opportunity of elite coaching and sports science support.
About the Head Coach
Nina Gavrilyuk is originally from St. Petersburg, Russia, where she graduated from the P.F. Lesgaft State Institute of Physical Culture as a qualified ski coach. As a member of the Russian National Team, her accomplishments include 3 Olympic gold medals, one Olympic bronze medal, 5 individual World Cup victories, and 10 World Championships. Her 15 years on the World Cup Circuit bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to this camp.
This camp will include agility, balance and dryland training, ski imitation, and rollerskiing. The camp will be aimed at fundamentals on skis while also walking away with new skills, and a new excitement for the remainder of the dryland season.
There will also be a couple of female athletes from CXC Team Vertical Limit Elite Program on hand to lend their expertise to participants.

Caitlin Compton - 2010 U.S. Olympic Team Member;
Jan Guenther – one of the top citizen/master skier in the U.S., triathlete, mom and business woman. Besides 15 years of running retail stores, Jan is a Hawaii Ironman finisher, five-time winner of the 58K Mora Vasaloppet, National Masters Triathlon winner, Border to Border (4 day bike, run, and canoe triathlon) winner.
Other coaches will include female members of the CXC Team Vertical Limit.
