MARQUETTE, Mich. – The Northern Michigan University men’s and women’s Nordic ski teams announce its 2010-11 schedule. NMU will host two events in the Marquette area during the season.
The opening weekend of the season (Dec. 4-5) NMU will open the season with the Wildcat Open Saturday and then take part in the MTU Challenge in Houghton Sunday. NMU will stay in the U.P. for its next event which is the United States Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) Season Opener in Ironwood, Mich. (Dec. 11-12).
The next two weekends the ‘Cats are in Central Super Tour events. Up first on the schedule (Jan. 22-23) is the Minneapolis event. Cable, Wis. (Jan.29-30) is the next stop for the ‘Cats.
Marquette will be the site of the Central Collegiate Ski Association (CCSA) Championships the second weekend of February (Feb. 12-13). The regular season wraps up with the NCAA Central Regionals which will take place in Houghton (Feb. 18-19).
