At the end of the sprint and distance races, Andy Newell maintained a 1:20 lead over Canada's Ivan Babikov. This meant Newell started 1:20 ahead of Babikov at the beginning of the 7km Men's Hill Climb in Fort Kent. Babikov slowly gained on Newell through the race, passing him just before the crest of the 1km climb up an alpine trail at the Lonesome Pines Ski Area.

Newell held on over the next kilometer and a half, sprinting past Babikov at the finish line. The sprint allowed Newell to win the overall Spring Series (Classic race, sprint race, and hill climb) by one second over Babikov. Torin Koos was third overall in the series.
In the hill climb race itself Babikov won by 22.8 seconds over Noah Hoffman. Lars Flora was another 4.5 seconds behind for third.

In the Women's 5km Hill Climb, Rebecca Dussault beat Kikkan Randall by 7 seconds, preventing Randall from sweeping the series. Brooke Gosling was third.
Still, Randall's time across all three races was formidable, allowing her to win the Spring Series by 1:23 over Dussault. Holly Brooks was third in the series, 23.4 seconds behind Desault.
