Although he only had the 6th fastest qualifying time, Torin Koos edged pat Andy Newell to win the Men's Sprint in Madawaska, Maine. Simi Hamilton finished third.
HTML clipboardKikkan Randall took the Women's sprint ahead of Ida Sargent, who passed Randall on an uphill, forcing Randall to pass her back before the finish. Holly Brooks was third.
